Our stuffed dates are made with 4 simple ingredients: medjool dates, peanut butter, flaky sea salt and Joaihu dark chocolate. Vegan and gluten-free.
So we've finally reached the holiday season, which means sweet treats are all around! And while we love to indulge, some of the classic holiday goodies are full of additives, preservatives, and things that leave you feeling not so great.
(i.e. Soy Lecithin, Artificial Flavors, Corn Syrup, Sugar and Palm Oil to name a few).
We believe in creating nourishing and delicious treats that support the nervous system and keep you balanced so you can feel your best while spending time with those you love!
Cue in - Snickers Stuffed Dates with Joaihu Chocolate
All you need are four simple ingredients to create these vegan, gluten-free, and low sugar treat!
Ingredients you'll need:
Peanut Butter
- We went with crunchy, but if you like creamy, that's cool too. Either way, we recommend using a peanut butter with no added oils or sugars.
Flaky Sea Salt
- this will give us a great contrast and help bring out the sweetness even more
(Optional) Coconut Oil
By adding just a bit of this into our melted chocolate, it helps to harden faster when placed in the freezer! Plus coconut oil also contains healthy fatty acids called MCTs which promote brain function.
Take each pitted date and fill with peanut butter (1-1.5 tsp) and some crushed peanuts.
Store in air-tight container in fridge (so the chocolate stays hardened).
